Annuity Advice UK: About annuities
...
Please do not solely use the information below when choosing an annuity. Refer all questions to your consultant.
PHASED RETIREMENT
If you plan to embark upon retirement progressively, and therefore do not immediately need the full benefits of your pension fund, you have an option of a Phased Retirement Pension Plan.
With this scheme your pension fund is divided into a large number of mini pension funds (typically 1000). If initially you only need (say) 30% of your pension, then 300 of your 1000 mini pension funds would be converted into :-
your 25% tax-free cash entitlement plus
either annuities or income draw-down on the value of the balance of the 300 mini funds.
You can choose to convert any number of these funds, whilst leaving the remainder invested for future use if you do not require full benefits at the present time.
This arrangement provides a flexible way of providing the additional income you require, and allows you to defer some pension benefits to a later date.
Your consulatnt will be happy to discuss such schemes with you. So please enquire about a 'no obligation' annuity quotation for information.
Contact Annuity Advice UK now by completing our quick and easy, confidential, NO-OBLIGATION annuity enquiry form (minimum £10,000)...
Thank you for submitting your enquiry. We are currently processing your request, please wait for the next page to be displayed, which could take up to 45 seconds.
